Jewish Life
The Barnert Temple is a highly engaged Reform Jewish congregation, passionate about our community and our future. We strive to live according to the values of a sacred community, to be inclusive and respectful, to ask questions and seek out answers. We uphold our diversity, in geography, individual backgrounds, religious beliefs, and practices. Jewish tradition offers us myriad tools to live with meaning, connection, and impact which we access and explore together.
We strive to personalize the experience of belonging to a synagogue. At Barnert, there is variety in the way we "practice" Judaism and there are lots of different ways to be live as a Jew. We invite you to walk through one of many doors and discern the path of Jewish living that’s right for you. This is what we call "The Barnert Difference." We are a dynamic congregation with an intellectually curious and caring membership willing to question itself and take risks.
