Come Home to Barnert!

StreamING ServiceS

As we adjust to our new normal, we invite you to join our "virtual" Barnert community.  We have always loved gathering and engaging in face-to-face interactions.  Though we cannot be together in person right now, we can still see each other’s faces through technology and virtual connections.

Please join me tonight, March 20, at 6 p.m. for our second "virtual" Shabbat.  The service will last no more than one hour and will be adapted to reflect our new online format.  I also invite you to join me, Dan and our boys, Ezra and Asher, for our first virtual Havdalah on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Let’s take a deep Shabbat breath at both the beginning and the end of Shabbat, this gift of rest and reset.

Look for an email on Sunday evening with a list of the week’s opportunities for us to engage with one another and our special Barnert community.  Our plan is to send you a daily email with a list of ways you and your family can stay connected to Barnert and to other families.  We hope to make it as easy as possible for everyone to stay connected as we all practice physical distancing during this truly unique period.

Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Rachel Steiner

Friday, March 20, from 6 - 7 PM

Our unique virtual service will include Shabbat ritual blessings – candles, kiddush and motzi – some singing, some teaching, and an opportunity to say Kaddish for loved ones. You do not need a copy of the Mishkan T'filah to participate.  If you would like to access the Mishkan T'filah flipbook, click here.
