Tu BiShvat is the Jewish holiday on which we celebrate trees!  We will gather at the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve  (1 Nature Preserve Way, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417) for an outdoor celebration on Erev Tu BiShvat.

We'll start with a 0.25 mile hike with everyone, which will end with Tu BiShvat singing and snacks.

At that point, we'll break into two groups:

One group will continue on a 1.5 mile hike (relatively flat, appropriate for all ages)

The other group will enjoy a 0.25 mile "Forest Scavenger Hunt" that will take them back to the parking lot.  This is sure to be lots of fun for kids as they try to identify a lean-to, downed trees they can walk on, pine cones, etc.

Please plan to arrive BEFORE 3:30 p.m. so we are ready to depart from the parking lot for our hike at 3:30 p.m.  Also, be sure to dress warmly (and appropriately) for a fun afternoon outdoors! Sturdy sneakers or hiking boots are recommended.
