All About...Tisha B'Av

Saturday, August 6, 2022 9 Av 5782

5:30 PM - 7:00 PMPatio (Social Hall if moved inside)

This year, Rabbi Scheffler will offer a learning opportunity before each major Jewish holiday. Together, we will explore the history and rituals of Tisha B'Av through text, music, and food!

Until recently, Tisha B’Av was not commonly practiced in Reform Judaism for ideological reasons. We'll consider why that is and what relevance it might have for us today. Whether you’ve never heard of this holiday, or you observe it annually, we hope you will join the conversation in-person or on Zoom

A light nosh will be provided, with foods that are traditional to eat before the Tisha B’Av fast.
