BARNERT ANNOUNCES TOURS AND OPEN REGISTRATION FOR KINDERGARTEN     01-18-2010

BARNERT TEMPLE PRESCHOOL & FAMILY CENTER ANNOUNCES TOURS AND OPEN REGISTRATION FOR FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN

Barnert Temple Preschool & Family Center invites parents who have a child entering kindergarten this coming fall to schedule a tour and discuss the very special benefits provided by Barnert’s full-day kindergarten.

According to Sara Losch, Barnert’s Director of Lifelong Learning, when a child enters kindergarten, it is one of the biggest school transitions he or she will make. “Parents are faced with dilemmas about readiness, schedules and curriculum,” she says “We want to offer some answers and explain why parents should consider a private kindergarten that not only prepares them for first grade but develops positive feeling about their identity as individuals, and as part of a Jewish community. We offer an inclusive program, which means if your child is advanced or is transitioning out of early intervention, our small one-on-one setting will give them exactly what they need to feel successful.”

Barnert also offers Kindergarten Enrichment on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Children in a half-day kindergarten program will benefit from the time they will get to explore topics in-depth and go beyond the basics of reading, writing and math. Afternoons include fun and educational activities such as Marvelous Math, Super Science, World Explorations, cooking, Jewish holiday and Shabbat experiences, health, and outdoor play, as well as special programs such as Spanish and music theory with our nationally recognized Jewish music star, Sheldon Low. Barnert’s kindergarten program fills up quickly due to its fine educational reputation and small class size. Parents are encouraged to contact the Preschool as soon as possible to ensure availability.
