BARNERT TEMPLE OFFERS A TASTE OF JUDAISM (ADULT EDUCATION) 09-29-2008
Barnert Temple will open its doors both literally and figuratively and invite community members and prospective members to join with Temple members at “A Taste of Judaism,” a free three-session class for beginners — Jewish or not -— that explores Jewish spirituality, ethics and community.
Designed for unaffiliated Jews, non-Jews, intermarried couples and all searching for an entry into Jewish life, this award-winning class is a project of the Union for Reform Judaism. Thousands of people across North America have been introduced to the Jewish community through “A Taste of Judaism.”
Barnert Temple is committed to offering Reform Jewish experiences that are relevant, accessible and meaningful for people of all ages and backgrounds. According to Sara Losch, Barnert Temple’s Director of Lifelong Learning, the free class is a great opportunity for those eager to learn in a non-threatening, supportive atmosphere. “We’re a welcoming and diverse group,” she said, “and we’d love to have members of the community take part in this exciting program.”
For more information about the class, to register, or for information about joining the Barnert Temple, contact Alice Kintisch, membership liaison, at (201) 848-1800.
