At our Martin Luther King commemoration on Monday, Jan. 19 in Oakland, the guest speaker, Imam Mohammed Qatanani, spoke against Israel. It was a deeply troubling evening. It only underscores the imperative for us to stand together in solidarity for Israel.
Among the ways you might support Israel during this tense time is to engage with the website StandWithUs.com or participate in a pro-Israel rally (see information below). For additional information concerning support of Israel, you may want to visit the the local UJA Federation website and the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism) website.

We pray for Israel's security and for the Palestinian people to desire a true peace.
